Happy Independence Day Nigeria

NigeriaHappy Independence Day.

May God bless our country Nigeria, Happy Independence Day!

Nigeria is 55 today and on her way to joining the league of senior citizens.

She’s made up of stakeholders called leaders and followers; shareholders labelled followers and leaders.

What are you doing to bring out the potential greatness of our fatherland?

I’m a leader though a follower so are you. Our public office holders are leaders and at the same time followers. Therefore the greatness of our nation depends on us all. You can impact Nigeria as a follower so don’t say, “I’d transform Nigeria when I become a leader.”

Let’s fight corruption and reduce it to its barest minimum. Let’s value education and give it the maximum opportunity to thrive. Let’s resolve our energy crisis because Nigerian can’t develop in epileptic power supply conditions. Take a cue from God – He created energy first, because He knew development is anchored on same!

For Nigeria to become industrialized we need to start manufacturing our own goods. Sell more, buy less! When we export more and import less that means more jobs for the unemployed masses. Gainfully employed youths would not upload crime or violence. Peace and stability will attract more investors which means more resources for government, you and I!

For our country to grow, develop and evolve we all need to love and care for her. Nigeria is my partner and yours so let’s be faithful to her. When the Nigerian business climate becomes conducive, employers of labour, entrepreneurs, investors will be convinced and willing to establish their various businesses in Nigeria.

Followers are guilty of the rot in the land as well. The leaders of today were followers many years ago and were complaining of corruption, bad leadership and many are replicating the exact thing they hated with passion years ago. How ironic!

As we say, Happy Independence Day Nigeria ask yourself the little thing you can do for our nation, after all little drops of water makes the mighty ocean.

We at olayemiogunojo.com wish and pray for the very best for our nation Nigeria.

Happy Independence Day Nigeria.
