Individuals make up Nigeria and we are all products of families.
Families need love, trust, understanding, tolerance, forgiveness to succeed and interestingly these are what Nigeria needs to foster unity, enhance prosperity and secure posterity.
The differences between us isn’t because we’re different but because we fail to bridge our differences.
If identical twins have misunderstandings, fight and bear malice then there’s no other similarity so strong to keep us united .
I bet Mr. Okafor knows he’s not Sir. Onyekachi, Mallam. Hassan is different from Mr. Abubakar, there are gaps between Mr. Oladunjoye and Mr. Olawale, so what are we talking about?
Individuals, peoples, societies have like minds and not because they are alike but they align their interests, goals …. Equity. Fairness. Equality.
If Igbos go today who says Anambra people won’t have issues with those from Abia … a monogamous family could be hell on earth and a polygamous family may know peace so it’s not about the differences but inability to manage same.
Our common enemy first and foremost is corruption, unemployment, poverty, illiteracy, marginalization … in no particular order.
Many towns, communities in the East, south-west … had had communal clashes where lives were shed now are they not members of the same tribe?
As individuals now – as a person don’t tell me you never had issues with yourself? It could be over your actions, inactions, decisions … but you forgave yourself directly or indirectly and forged ahead.
Nigeria needs to stay united.
Now leaders embrace equity, fairness … and make Nigeria an egalitarian society.
