‘Sense in Business.’
Round peg in round hole philosophy:
Hajia Binta Adegboye (my fictitious character) is a successful fabrics merchant with stores in Lagos Island, Surulere, Ikeja, Ikoyi, Ilupeju. She recently spread her tentacles to Ibadan – Dugbe, Basorun, Akobo and Bodija and of course counting.
Now let’s check out her business profile:
Her business name: Weekend Fabrics LTD…
Her slogan: weekend fabrics … styling your owambe with exotic aso-ebi
Her adverts (flyers): on the flyer is a crystal-clear image of a gorgeously dressed man and woman in aso-ebi, at a news and noise-making wedding (owambe).
beneath the image is the inscription …. we clothe kings and queens specially, professionally for owambe ….
And beneath the above information you find her contacts: addresses, mobile contacts and social media accounts.
Her advert stands out: few images. Less stories. Straight to the point.
Hajia was a fashion designer herself but she prefers selling fabrics to designing clothes, but after 10 years of retailing fabrics she decided to employ skilled fashion designers … later sent them abroad for crash courses in design and began her fashion business and lifestyle brand – DFF: Dexterous Fingers & Fashion House and so her loyal fabrics customers became her fashion house clients.
Hajia is sure a smart investor, right? Yeah!
Business is sense and creativity.
