‘The First Lapboard’.
Chalkboard we all know but this new invention I term ‘lapboard’. (credit: students.com.ng)
A corrupt society is one heavily-pregnant with poverty and illiteracy and both make love to carry the baby of corruption which also deliver of more poverty and illiteracy. That’s why poverty-stricken climes are perfect soils for all sorts of barbarism, social vices and crime.
@ image: the lapboard is filled with information, and once trousers ‘mistakenly’ fall on the contraption, the deal is done. And the bearer who’s desperately ready to excel will lift the information to his/her answer script.
And congrats will follow!
The person guilty of that is a product of a home and filed under the label ‘Follower’ so what do you expect from such if (s)he finds himself in an elective or appointive position tomorrow?
Even the office that accommodates such in the name of employment will feel his negative impact. Corruption goes on everywhere – in Government agencies, parastatal … and corruption isn’t the exclusive preserve of our leaders! That’s why we all need orientation.
Some parents even go to exam halls with money to bribe supervisors, invigilators, some pay impostors to write exams for their children and ward and when people are talking about corrupt leaders in Nigeria this class will join and start cursing, abusing, accusing.
Perhaps they had forgotten they are leaders (corrupt leaders) of their various homes too!
